Default Just ordered BG Ram Air...

Please tell me I didn't just waste my money.
It was $279 with the corner pieces and rain shield.

Anyone who has it, can you tell me if it works?

Tommy

PS For those who are not familiar with this product it is for WS6 cars only.

I've had mine for about 3 years now, and I love it. Still in perfect shape, and it lowered my IATs by as much as 30-40* under certain conditions. It's a great mod for a WS6 car....

Here is another thread about the BGRA.

Oh...when you go to the track...make sure you take out the grill....every little bit helps!!

Just installed mine last night. If weather permits I will take it to the track and see what kind of gains I get this weekend.

I ran the Silver State with mine in. At 165 mph it pressurized the airbox so much that it blew the big oblong rubber plug out. When Brian Green heard about it he called me at work to ask about it, and then sent me a new one free. The new one is glued in

Tommy;

Some guys just open the air box, and then use foam to seal it to the lid. That's nice, BUT, as a former Aviation Maintenance Mechanic, I can appreciate the necessity of a smooth air intake system.

The BGRA is a well thought-out kit that includes the Turbulence Elimination Funnels - which guide the incoming air directly to the lid without disturbing the air flow, the same concept as in jet aircraft!

I was completely happy with the installation and fit of my BGRA kit.

I was just reading on their site that they recommend leaving the front license plate cover on because an air pocket will be created otherwise. I wonder how much this matters. Friggin' NY requires front plates, so it is impossible for me to leave the cover on....
