What do you mean by opening at 1500? What vehicle is this and what trans do you have?

Excuse my poor English, when I'm at the 1/4 mile track, I press the brake, and try to stall the car, but the wheels start spinning at 1500 rpm, I had this stall converter on a 2008 silverado and it works perfect, but when I changed it to the car,it doesn't work. The car is a 1998 ls1 TransAm.

The converter was in a truck first?

Because you're foot braking, I'd say the brakes in the Silverado could hold more than the Trans AM. That might be one reason.

Another thing to consider is that if the stall was spec'd as a 2800 for a heavy *** Silverado, you won't get the same stall speed in a lighter Trans Am.

The heavy truck let you stall it higher because it takes more power to move. The Trans Am is lighter and takes less energy to move so won't stall as high.

Hope that makes sense

If the converter was spec'd for another vehicle, then yes it may be off once swapped.

If it flashed 2800 in a truck, it will probably only flash around 2000 in a car. Aka stock converter size.

Try leaving from idle.. Just stab the throttle, should flash a bit higher.

Yes agreed it was speced for a heavy truck its not gonna act nearly the same in a light car in addition rear ratio comes into play also
