Default compnine gone!

compnine VIN decoding is gone. So sad...

Is there another website that offered RPO codes by VIN?

I thought you must be mistaken until I clicked on the link I've had in my favorites for years and got the going out of business message.

That sucks! I have used that decoder many times.

You can get a GM dealer to run the VIN and get the RPO codes

I discovered this when I went to get the codes for a '95 Blazer beater I picked up. I went to a GMC dealer and walked out with the print-out in like 60 seconds. It was slow at that moment.

(I've garaged the T/A for a while, a SUV is more suited to my work and the damn NYC roads)

Default Compnine.com reopening????

I know this is a old topic and much discussed but recently I went to their website just to see if anything had changed and when it loaded...i got this message: "Doing some maintenance, please try back later." Does this mean there is a possiblilty of renewed service?? Here is the link: http://www.compnine.com/vid.php
