Default ported FAST 92, torquer V3, 1 7/8 lts... best CHEAP option for heads?

So I just picked up the Fast 92 intake set up off of TSP's race car. Ordered a torquer v3 and some TSP 1 7/8 lt's at the same time. The intake is ported to match the 95 mil tb that comes with it. Should I just go grab a set of 243's and have them ported and matched to the intake while its still off the car? Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

10-4. Thanks. Im really hoping to break 400 rwhp. TSP 1 7/8 Lts & ory, Borla cat back, torquer v3, 243s, ported fast, 90 mil tb, ford red tops, walbro 255, fastoys ram air, yank ss3500, performabuilt level II... sound like it will be accomplished fairly easily?

Already have the 3500 in the car or I would. It flashes at like 3700 though.

might as well get 42lb injectors as the price difference is not much and you have room to grow a little. Your tuner can adjust the flow rate...I got mine from http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/shop/ they are a sponsor here and helped me out through E-mail for my needs.

I really don't know how you wouldn't clear 400rwhp with that setup. Get a good tuner with that cam...it likes to buck like a bull at low rmps. Don't forget an 85mm MAF unless your going SD.

Don't use the word "cheap" or go the "cheap" route when it comes to heads. With your set up, go with some Advanced Induction 243's heads.

I would just ask your tuner what he likes. Mine told me to get the 85mm Z06 MAF...plus there cheap. A lot of guys use them on here, I got mine for $40 shipped on E-bay. He personally didn't like the 100mm units.

So why don't you call TSP and get them to cut you a deal on some 2.5 LS6 243 heads. You already got their cam and intake and exaust. They perform well on my car and for $1500 you get a set of them. Talk to them about sinking your valves for more clearance and you ought to be able to shave the heads for more compression. Your stock MAF is good to 450-500 hp so leave it alone for now.

I ordered 7.425 push rods thinking I was using the stock heads... will these also work on the 243's?

Save your money on the 243s....Send your existing heads to AI and have them done up nice. Also, have FIC rejet and flow-match your stock injectors to about 42 pounds.

I was thinking about picking up a set of 243s and sending them to AI when I got the $ together. I dont want my car down that long either. Surly a P&P'd set of 243's would be significantly better that P&P'd stockers... right?

243s are stock heads. Once AI gets done with 241s, they will flow similar to ported 243s.

But the 243s arent stock on my car. I was referring to 241s as being stockers. Guess ill just keep the 241s for now. Any dyno results for pp 241s vs pp 243s out there?

Ai 243s will put your 241 to shame. Just pull 241s sell em and buy a new set of 243s, from ai already ported and wallah your done.

I would go with AI 243s. Ive seen 243s going for under $400 on ebay. You can sell some 241s and not even have much into the used 243s. The guys at AI are quick to respond to questions and really know their ****. Some of the numbers their heads have been putting down are crazy. They certainly earned my business if I dont go FI.
