Default Best choice of heads for 6.0 build

Trying to get an idea of what cylinder heads/springs,etc. to run on my build that I'll be starting soon. Not sure what route to go????? It will be a street driven car with occasional track runs. Looking for 430-450hp
This is what I'm working with so far:
6.0 LQ9
TSP Torquer V2 cam
LS6 intake
T56
12bolt w/3.73's

Thanks for any help!!

Nothing higher than $1500. I'm just looking for some input as to what other people are running. I'm considering calling TSP and ordering a set of their ported heads. Just don't know which ones to get???????

I'd go with a set of AI 243s myself. Nothing wrong with the TSP heads either but I like the idea of stock valves for more room with PTV.

Save your money and do it right the first time. Trickflow 215 heads have a thicker cast for improved p to v clear. They have a better port design, thicker casting over a factory ported head. They have been proven to perform and you get what you pay for. I got mine from tea and so did my bud. Worth the extra money.

For around $1500 you can get some mildly ported L92/LS3 heads with a dual coil valve spring good to .650 lift. You looking to bump compression by moving to a smaller cc on the head, or you want to keep it where it's at? The V2 is a pretty mild cam ... no reason to put nasty amounts of cash into heads, IMO ...

Looks like the link below isnt working ... if you go to sdparts.com then click "LS Gen III Gen IV Performance" in the left nav, then search for L92, you will find them.

Also I have a set of stage III ported 243s with Manley valves and PAC behives good to 650 with about 8,000 miles on them. Flow data and all specs were included with them when I bought them new. They flowed 318 cfm at 600 and are milled to a 63.5 cc. If you have any interest, shoot me a PM

if your goal is only 450rwhp and your gonna be happy with that then just grab a set of 243's and get a decent vj on them. you'll be at your goal for the price of the heads + a few hundred for the vj

You could do an ls3 top end. They flow great, the manifold flows good and it can all be done under 2k

L92 and LS3 castings are the same, correct? I was suggesting he go with an L92 Scoggin Dickey has fully assembled CNC ported L92s with dual coils for $750 a head.

^^^ L92 got heavy valves and the ls3 got the hollow stem valve. But I know the heads you're talking about SDPC CNC ls3 heads is the ones ya want
