Default *crying* yet happy!

I went to Hooters in Biloxi last Friday night and ate with a bunch of board members and I ended up getting drunk, so I had a friend to drive me home. Well the next morning my dad walks in and tells me to get up...... he has one of those looks like someone has died or something really bad. We walk outside and he points out to me a big dent in my hood!!!! Its about 8 inches long and an inch wide that is about a half an inch deep(well it was then we tried to bump it out as much as possible). It is about a foot or so up the hood and almost centered.

But the REALLLYYYYYYYY bad part is that I have NO idea in hell what happened. It actually looks like someone backed into it in a truck with the tailgate down. BUT for that to have happened the front bumper would have had to have gotten hit also b/c or where it is. It isn't scratched at all, just a big ole dent.

So the happy part is I am going to upgrade to a SCC Raptor hood now b/c there is a guy somewhere in Jackson with a red trans am that has one and doesn't like it so I am gunna try to find him and buy it off of him and if I have to have the paint matched but just MAYBE I won't have to do that.

Did you try to 'Dukes of Hazzard' it across the hood when you were drunk?

Just call your insurance company, tell them you were eating @ Hooters, came out and saw the damage. They'll cut you a nice check (stock parts are really expensive) and you can probaly get your Raptor hood shipped, painted and installed without dumping much more of your cash into it.

LOL nah I didn't do anything totally stupid........ thats why I had the DD. I thought about the insurance deal but I belive I have a $500 deductable..... so I would be better off just buying a hood so that way I won't have to worry about the HELLA premiums going up even more!

something like that would fall under comprehensive, prolly only 100 bucks for deductible.

500 is prolly your collission deductible. mine is 500 collision and 100 comprehensive.

not true anymore most people have 500 comp deducts because their insurance is so high. Its not worth claiming small stuff because if you happen to have and accident too it can really screw you.

You sure you didn't drink too much to remember showing that Hooters waitress your car, which, when she saw it, instantly got turned on and wanted a ride in it, and the whole parking at look out point thing and doing the deed on the hood of your car....now that may bring a whole new defintion to buffing the hood of your car, and it may also mean that the Porter Cable Dual action buffer may have some new found competition.
