Yeah, I'm lucky if it'll hold in third rolling into the throttle at 2000 rpm, but it's fun as well rolling up to 3500 in third the nailing it and doing a 100 ft burnout.

didnt you have any idea that traction would be an issue driving a car with that much power?..get some tires and build the suspension now

Put some real tires on it lol....anything other then a decent drag radial is just a waste of time. Whats the point of driving it with street tires when you'll just spin against anything....I hated the feeling of not being able to use the car fully!

those numbers are with my old p1sc, I did a few upgrades d1sc@max speed, ported intake and throttle, rebuilt transmission. trying to make it back to dyno for retune and some rwhp #'s. I have some street tires falken. I have all the aftermarket suspension parts.

It sounds like you're running the new combo wot without a retune, are you sure it is rich enough and you have no spark knock? Bob

IF you dont get DRs your just wasting your time. blowing off tires is a kids thing i hate not having traction. i can hook up on the street on 11psi of boost all day along from a dig. 11psi in my car is good for low 10s. also like bob said i hope the car has been retuned after your changes. use your street tires for the dyno, make sure the tune is good than go get some DRs and check back in with us on how things work out

Say goodbye to street tires forever. DR's are now the only thing you can run.

I never understood why more people to DR's all the time. My Nitto's lasted 15k miles and were my track tires too. Ive never had spinning issues

I always hear of people in the US reporting mileages like that. Just how exactly is it possible ?

Are there no legal tread limit requirements ? Is 15k until they are through to the canvas ?

Ive used various competition type tyres including Nitto drag radials.. No way in hell would any last longer than 3k and have road legal tread depth here.
And that's just a mix of some drag racing, mostly easy road and some fun on the road.

I dont see how 15k would ever be possible.

15k is easy on the nittos with mostly street driving, they are a much harder tire than the MT's

My car is not a daily driver and doesnt come out in the rain. Granted, right now, they are toast tread-wise. Do they still do their job as a drag radial? yes, they are sticky when hot. Would i want to be in the rain right now with the tires not at all but they serve the purpose i want them for, to hook up.

I also racked up many of those miles on the highway, over long trips. I dont normally drive like an a-hole either(not saying you do)

MT's would be totally illegal here for road use, so obviously I cant use them to try. But based on racing, I doubt they would last more than 1k before being totally done.

As I say, I cant fathom how you would possibly get 15k from Nittos. Even totally normal high performance road tyres dont last that long on mine.

no john force burn outs lol.....this year my car has not got much pleasure driving, but ive put right over 2000 miles on it with the same set of mt's, and still have tread left

last year i put 5k miles on the car and that was 1 set of mt's for the first 4k miles...on the street i air them up to 35psi and at the track i just haze the tires to get them warm
