Planning on getting some HID's (DDM tuning)
hey guys i think im making the jump to HID soon for my camaro. yes i know about search button... but needs some new input. so whats the best; cheapest place to get HID's? i heard DDM has the best price around but i heard they got sued for offering all colors but only really had 4 or so and were branding them off as other colors. did they fix this issue or should i just stay away from DDM tunning? if so where else would be good to look at. also what wattage for both head and fogs? also which needs a relay? thanks guys

it's hit or miss on the harnesses. mine required a harness for the fogs only. might as well get one as they are only $12. i opted out of getting it and mine flickered when i first turned them on and sometimes only one would ignite until i got my harness.
in regards to the temperatures offered, i had not heard that. i got 35w 6ks in both my fogs and lows and i have a friend that got 8k 35w, and they weren't the same bulbs.
i'm very happy with my 6k's

Yeah I think I'm gonna get one relay to be safe is that pretty simple to hook up? And also yes I found that I like 6k the best . I am just concerned that I will actually receive my order if I purchase from DDm tunning and they just won't be like oh we stopped selling the kits .

6k would be the highest I would go on the temp/color. Anything about that and your loosing light and your really not getting the most light out of a 6k compared to say the 5k or 4.3k but it still looks good and plenty of light to see with at night. I had 6k in my car and loved them until one of my ballast box decided to take a turn south on me. And Derek is right, it's all plug and play and you might as well get the harness since there not that expensive and even if you don't use it, it was better to be safe than sorry. Another thing to keep in mind, when you go to hook it up, if it doesn't turn on after you have everything hooked up, go and rotate the connector from the ballast box to the connector on the car. IDK why Chevrolet wanted to be different by turning the headlight connection around but they did.

Same here with mine. After that one ballast box failed, I went and installed some of the cheap bulbs from Wal-Mart and for about a week, I was like an old man trying to drive at night, lol. But I don't have any plans for HID's until after paint, body work, new interior, new motor.

Ive put Xentec's in about 6 bikes (the owners wanted to go cheap) and every single one of them had to get incontact with the sellers in the first 3 months, bc one of the two ballasts went out (2 of the owners had 2 ballasts go out) they are total JUNK
Ive installed 2 pairs of DDM's (the non cheap individuals) and they are still going strong at over a year

Op, all I have to say is, google reviews for Xentec's hids... everyone says they are junk, if you purchase them and get lucky youll get a pair that lasts, if not be prepared to contact the seller, at least once, if not twice for bad ballasts
