275/40-17 fronts, and 315/35-17s for the rear.

Im personally running those sizes in the Nitto NT555 (Not the R) front and rear. Decent year round driving, and a long tread life. I cant speak for the NT05s, but I do know that the 555 is an inch wider than the 555R in 315/35-17.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 FTW!

Expensive? Yes, but you will never doubt them; dry or wet they are amazing!

Will 315's fit on a 10.5" rim, my buddy thought 315's were almost 13" wide is that true or no?

Your friend obviously doesn't know what he's talking bout. You can fit a 315 on a stock f-body 9.5 rim but wouldn't recommend it. On a 10.5 rim most people go with 315s or 325s.

I have the same wheels you do, and I run a 275/45 front and 315/35 Nitto 555R on the rear. The slightly narrower 315 555r fits perfect on a 10.5 wheel.
