Default Having problems with new SLP radiator.

I just had a SLP high flow radiator installed along with some NPG coolant. I am having tons of problems with the "low coolant" indicator coming on. No matter how much $25 a gallon coolant I put in. The light goes off after every restart only to return in a minute or so. I only put in a little coolant but the light comes on. I dont think it is leaking I cant see any coolant. Is there a "trick" with this radiator or no? Just wondering if anyone had any experiences with this. Thanks

Did you think that maybe your block is leaking? I have the slp with an iron 422ci and have not had one issue, and never have had to add coolant. Pull the plugs and see if they show and signs of coolant contact.

Your coolant sensor has probably gone bad. It is a pretty common problem. They cost about $50 ... I am on my third one and it has started coming on now.

Lots of other people have had the same problem. The coolant sensor is located just underneath the filler neck...if the coolant level is above the sensor when the light comes on...then you have a bad sensor.

Thanks I will look into that. Is that a common thing when we change out the radiators. Like when we break the oil sending switch on the intake when we change that out?

I get that light all the time. I replaced the sensor, still comes on. Coolant level is normal and doesn't fluctuate. Just ignore it as long as your not using coolant and your coolant temps don't fluctuate.

I never had issues.. Try the sensor..

After all, its its not leaking and not going in your motor then where could it go?

Just unplug the thing......I've had mine unplugged for about a year now and have yet to get a light. The newer cars do not have that sensor just I just unplugged mine as I have a 2002 radiator in my car.

That's correct, my brother's '00 WS.6 lacks the sensor.

It's on the passenger side, facing engine, below the coolant reservoir cap.
