Default Which rpm 505 and Michelin tire combo should I get??

I was saving up for rpm 505 19" in hypersilver and I finally got the money together. Then today I opened the mail to find a suprise bonus check of about what the rims cost, so since I have no reason to say no anymore I'm about to order them!

I work for Michelin and get 1k worth of tires free every 5 years so I would like to use that. So tire choice is limited to Michelin bfgoodrich or uniroyal. I daily drive the black 98 trans am. It is lowered on stranos and konis. Also has a 500ish Hp ls3.

The question is do I stay with 19" hypersilvers? I also want to keep all four the same width i think it would look better but I don't know for certain. Does anyone think staggered Is better? I like the deep dish alot though and think the more wheels with it the better haha...

If it were me, I'd get 9.5 on all 4. Then, later down the road, you could always widen the rears to 10.5 or 11.

Oh I plan on widening the rear in the far future, the reason to stagger is because the front lip would be a good bit smaller. But I agree with you on big lip all around.

That's pretty awesome that your company gives you free tires. That helps out a lot!

1k the first 5 years then like 1.2k every five after that. 30% off any tire I want, and discontinued tires at cost I can get 12 a year..

Just saw some 235/19 pilot ps2 on there for 112 they retail like 360... But only two. If I stagger I could prob run those then spend the 1k on my two rears... Idk. Man these tires are expensive. Alot of the pilot series are 500 a tire.

I like the bfgoodrich kdw but I don't race her (yet) so I'm not sure i want drag radials for a daily driver... But maybe though. They are one of the few in my price range...

please please please look at carlos thread. he widened his 505's to 11 or 12? in the rear....looks absolutely amazing. if it were me, i would run a 275 (no larger than that) in the front on a 9.5 rim and knowing that rpm comes in a 9.5 max, i would run the max width allowed in the rear. so saying you could throw a 305 on the rear, when u widen the rims, u wouldn't technically need a larger tire once you widen the rim without making the tire look stretched.....if that makes sense.

My thoughts exactly. If you end up widening the rears, you will be glad you went 9.5 up front. That's a sick combo. 9.5 up front, 11 or 11.5, or even 12 out the back.

I've seen the thread. That idea was perfection... Also pisses me off cause it's just one more great idea I have to purchase and do now haha. Ok so it looks like I'm gonna go 19" 9.5 with a 285 g force kdw 2.

I've read some people running 295 on 9.5 so I should be ok with 285 right?

Now I gotta wait till payroll calls me back on this bonus... My manager didn't even mention I would get this and apparently I'm the only one who got it... I did just get promoted so I think it's back pay, but I don't want to spend it if it were a mistake...

With that much horsepower, I'd stay with 18s and go 9" up front and 10.5 or 11 in the back. I have 19x9.5 on all four corners and I just can't get traction. I may widen my rears and run a 305/30/19, but that's if I don't sell the wheels first.
