Default New best T56 60ft 1.36 - 9.6 @ 141 (MIR) some decent passes after suspension mods.

Installed comp universal Drag bar, new Hoosier STiff walls with Tubes along with Strange Adjustables... I would say the single biggest improvement were the shocks for sure..

First pass at MIR 13.5 lbs shocks set at #7 of 10 rebound control of stiff side to control tire plant.. Same results as prior really, tire hop and spin with a 1.56 60ft..

Decreased tire pressure to 12.5 and increased shocks to #8 of 10 - and pulled (2) 1.45s and a 1.44..

Kept things the same and brought in spray sooner at 60% and pulled a best of 1.361 60 ft but the horsepower just was not there due to unfavorable weather.. Did run (3) 9.7s and my last pass 9.6 again @ 141..

Upon watching Video still wadding tire, so I should have left pressure at 13.5 and only stiffened shocks.. Good news is I feel it is controlable right now - other good news is I made the car more effecient - running with in 1/10th of target effeciency which is good for a 9 second street 6 speed car with a street clutch..

No new best due to horsepower just not being there last night, but good learning and suspension work.

Thank You! My last pass I was lined up against a Silver Camaro that broke - Not you I hope? Did you happen to see DA? I seemed down on power..

yea, it was. but it looked like it was something already on the track. so when he left it went straight to the wall, and when it stopped it leaked water out the over flow. I didn't see the da. I made one pass driving it and went a 10.55 @ 125 with a 1.39 60'. Hope for some good weather on sunday to end the year with a bang.

Nice pass! It was a nice looking car... I had been looking at it while parked next to that Blue Neon that broke 1/2 shaft earlier.. Nice Camaro.

Not me at world cup, could not make it for that... WIsh I had though..

Thanks! Yeah, your car is sweet looking! Looked like you had Greg Welds like mine? MIR is a sweet track, I usually make the 5 hr drive few times a year to go there... Drive home sucks though.

Very nice 87 TA. What clutch do toy have?

I too just got DA rear shocks too, and really like them. But only raced on Drs there like the opposite settings of my 28x10.5 stiff. I got a new set, but the tracks are all closed around here.

Have you ever ran those slicks without I tube? I think I'm gona run tubes in this set. I;n only gone a 1.43 once on them. mostly it was 1.45 1.47 but they were 3-4 years old.
1.36 is awesome

Thank You!
I had not run tubes prior to this and wish I never put them in... Added atleast 5lbs to each wheel and saw no differance with them on.. I actually think they slowed me down.. I am real happy with shocks, but wish i had gotten double adjustables now though - But the sinlges are great pieces no doubt.

I use a standard Spec 3 clutch, my slicks without tubes did not leak hardly at all.. My Old M/T leaked a lot though..

Nice times Tom! You ever smear some RTV on the tire bead to help it seal? I do this all the time on my ET street bias ply tires and they hold air pretty good.
