Default Anybody Running 5.60's or Faster At 3300lbs?

I'm curious if anybody is running a 5.60 or faster in the 1/8th. I have a lq4 I want to build and will eventually go to a 370 ci. But for now I want to see if I'm crazy to think I can get there with the lq4 and a turbo. Now I'm sure it can be done but the catch is I have to be at 3300 lbs which to me is heavy but it needs to be done for a class. Is anyone doing this? If so please list your combo.

Dang that's nice. How much boost were you running and what was your CR? What type of fuel were you using

I've been 5.73 @ 3900#'s in my street car at 23psi. I would think that if I could take out 600 lbs, I could drop atleast 2 maybe 3 tenths to the 1/8th and my car is geared for the 1/4.

That's impressive. You turbo guys make this look easy. Turns out I can go as low as3150 lbs so I'm thinking I can get to 5.60's or faster for sure with a 6.0 and a turbo.

nice! I'm running a Real Street 275 drag radial class. Limited to 76mm non billet turbo (single only) and 3400lbs minimum for a turbo/a2w/aftermarket head combo. There's a sbf turbo car in the .30's and Tick's car has been 5.50's so far on a nitrous setup.

yea the organization i was looking at has a limit in turbo size for Limited 10.5(78 mm) but not for outlaw 8.5. i wanted to go nitrous but after reading the weight adds and breaks i can be the same weight(3150) If i go small block turbo with a blow thru and no intercooler as compared to a small block single stage nitrous car(3100) and must add 50lbs for additional stages. i can pretty much make more power with a turbo for around the same price as going nitrous so i might aswell do it.

Are you willing to let the combo specs out or are you still keeping them on the low like in your build thread?

Was an ls2 402 with twin tc76's. Had a good bit more in it, but the tune was a little rich. Never got my goal of high 8's before a rod bearing let go and killed the bottom end. Pretty sure it wouldn't have taken anymore boost to get there, just a better driver. Only got 30 or so passes out of it. In other words I never did get comfortable with that setup.
