1954 Studebaker LM7/T56 MP76
Here's my '54 Studebaker project. It's a stock 5.3 with a T56 and a Master Power T76. I used truck manifolds as a starting point and made them work. You can check out build pics at http://mikeabssy.blogspot.com/
I'm into land speed racing (Bonneville & El Mirage) I have wanted a 200 mile an hour street car for some time now, could this be the one? I think it might take 700 horsepower to do it in this body, so maybe a bit more motor. Anyhow, here it is! I'll post updates here as they happen.

The 54 Stude has good aerodynamics for high speeds. Looks like you have a plan with the turbo. My dad had a 1960 Studebaker Lark back in the day, that would have been a bad choice for a high speed run...lol.

The car is running and driving. I used a TU1 cam, some decent valve springs, a Bosch 044 fuel pump and 60 pound injectors. Otherwise it's all stock 5.3 truck stuff. Of course, there's a whole bunch of fabrication as well. For the alternator bracket I cut the **** out of a stock truck one and then polished it.
It seems to drive well, I have about 300 street miles on it so far. The turbo spools later than I'd like even with the 2" hot side piping but I think that's due to the 3.73 gears in the Explorer rear end. Next up is a gear change to 3.08's, a cage and a trip to Westech's dyno.
