Default 07 Heads/Cam/Stall A6 with up-top shifting issues

Been working a ton on my tune with a few people. When you punch it at any speed under 45, it picks up and goes and I wouldn't change anything about it. Anything above 45, there is a major lag. Here's a video of it lagging:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxH04dUiRBs

You can see, once it finds out what gear it wants, it hauls ***.

Mods are etp 215 heads, g5x1 cam, 3.42 gear, 2800 stall. Before the heads, it didn't have lag when I got on it from 70, but now.. I'm guessing air changed and we can't find out what the computer wants at all.

Tune file: http://www.visionsconnect.com/sm-21.hpt

Any help would be rewarded with praise as if you were my god.

Here's two logs from a tune file back... but the problem was still there, so should be pretty much exactly like my latest tune on there.

400+ parameters control the A6 transmission. This should be fun! I'll start going thu it line for line. See if anything is OBVIOUSLY not within' spec.

Not an issue fix just something I've found so far.

HP TUNERS EDITOR > TRANSMISSION > SHIFT PROPERTIES > DESIRED SHIFT TIME > 0, all cells.

Do the same for all (6) of the following sections >

Base Upshift - Normal
Base Upshift - Special
Base Power Downshift
Min Power Downshift
Base CT Downshift - Normal
Base CT Downshift - Special

HP TUNERS EDITOR > TRANSMISSION > SHIFT PROPERTIES > SHIFT TIME INPUT TORQUE ADDER > from 59ftlb.-398 ftlb. of torque and 0 rpm to 6400 rpm, .300, all cells.

Copy the modified table and paste in all Upshift - Normal tables in the Shift Time Torque Adder Section.

In the Upshift-Special table however use the value of .250 instead of .300 as this will give a slightly quicker shift when in the sport/manual mode.

HP TUNERS EDITOR > TRANSMISSION > SHIFT PROPERTIES > DOWNSHIFT- NORMAL > .300 all cells.

For the Downshift - Special > .250 all cells.

HP TUNERS EDITOR > TRANSMISSION > SHIFT PROPERTIES > DESIRED OUTPUT TORQUE NORMAL > 1-2 shift > 0 all cells.

Do this for all of the following Normal, Special, and Downshift tables for each and every gear change option available (DO NOT adjust multi):

HP TUNERS EDITOR > TRANSMISSION > SHIFT PROPERTIES > SHIFT PRESSURE > MAX LINE PRESSURE > D1 to D4 and 1,750 rpm to 7,000 rpm > 180.

DITTO: > D5 to D6 and 1,750 rpm to 7,000 rpm > 155.

HP TUNERS EDITOR > TRANSMISSION > SHIFT PROPERTIES > SHIFT PRESSURE > BASE SHIFT PRESSURE > UPSHIFT - X > 1-2 > load stock values and adjust by +5 until desired pressure reached (I use +15), all cells.

Do the same for all tables under Upshift - X, Upshift - Y.

The 'Vette doesn't technically use a Pattern Z so skip any reference to it.

HP TUNERS EDITOR > TRANSMISSION > AUTO TCC > APPLY/RELEASE SPEED NORMAL > NORMAL > 3rd/4th gear only change 0%-75% throttle position > 158.

Do the same for the 5th option as well.

Repeat for ALL shift patterns except HOT (leave stock).

Open up the HP TUNERS VCM SCANNER > TABLE PRIMARY > CLICK ON HPT ICON (MIDDLE TOP) > RIGHT CLICK ON ANY BLANK WHITE SPACE > INSERT > TRANSMISSION > TCC > TCC DESIRED SLIP RPM.

DITTO : > TCC LINE PRESSSURE

DITTO: > TCC SLIP RPM

You will now have (3) seperate new PIDS added.

Now RIGHT CLICK > INSERT > TRANSMISSION > TRANS CURRENT GEAR.

DITTO: > > TRANS TURBINE RPM

You now have (5) new PIDS total added.

Save config. as TCC Slip Config.

NOW...

Go back to the HP TUNERS EDITOR > TRANSMISSION > AUTO TCC > TCC PRESSURE > APPLY RAMP > from 5 rpm - 400 rpm and 74 ftlb. - 369 ftlb., +10.

SAVE AND LOAD TUNE FILE.

The goal is to get the TCC SLIP to 0-20 rpm. Watch the TCC SLIP readings...if not within 0-20 rpm increase pressure by +5 until results are achieved.

That's all the info. I have for you! I noticed you have made SOME of these changes already but in different increments. You also have a few other tables that have adjustments but nothing that would cause an issue. Good luck!

Wowzer, that's a lot of changes. Thanks for having a look. I was like how did my thread have this many replies already, lol.

Have you ever tuned an A6 before?

Yes with those (and and few select other tables) exact tables and values.
