Default Engine placement

Where would this mount setup place the engine? Would it be all the way back up to the firewall? Could someone post a top view pic showing where it will sit...

Thanks

We don't even know what kind of car the engine will be in. Your question can't be answered without a lot more info.

that appears to be the common no-offset sbc conversion plate. should be about the same positioning as a typical SBC, but some applications fit more accurately with a 1" setback plate (such as the 3rd gen fbodies)

Get the dirty dingo mounts and "put it where you want" I could slide the motor in my setup from like 6" away from the firewall to no space at all. I am so happy with them.

The gen 3 motor would be 1" forward of where the bellhousing on a sbc gen 1 would be.

Will those mounts work in a g-body?

I wouldn't see why not. Give them a call. They have 2 diff "older muscle car" brackets and a "hotrod set" so I'm sure somethin will work. I was able to tighten them up to the block with the motor down in also. Some brackets you have to set the motor in,align and mark em and pull back up to tighten to the block due to clearance issues. The owner is great when I was installing my motor I had my plates backwards and called them up thinkin somethin was wrong??? He was on his way to my house within the hour to get it figured out. But before he got here I got it figured out.
