Default how much cam for 853 heads is to much?

well i saw on a website the differences of the intake port floor design of the 853's and 241's. of course the 241/243 design's are better! And I know my 853's are not the best thing out there but have only enough money to put in a cam for now. I have had my car tuned and noticed on the dyno sheet that power seems to fall off around 5500. the stock cam doesent help this but all the reading ive done on heads made me believe that 853's wont flow well over 5500 anyway.
So my question then is how much cam can i use and not be wasting my money trying to build power where the heads wont flow anyway? If i could I would like to reach 400 rwhp. Will 853's support that much?

no PTV issues, as for RPM range... check out Texas Speed's web, they have all the info.

If the heads aren't milled you could run a lot more cam before running into ptv clearance issues just to throw that out there. Of course you always wanna double check though.

The intake lift on the V3 was a concern for my cam choice. I wanted a big chunky cam, so I went big while keeping lift in check at just over .600. Great tune and it drives like a dream.

Who's cam and what springs did you use? Also how much power are you making?

I have the tsp 228R 228\228 .588\.588 lift 112lsa. It makes ton of low end power on stock heads. Sounds amazing and drives great. Since it has under 600 lift you can use cheaper springs. I made 382hp thru a auto and a big stall. If your a m6 im sure you can hit 400.
