Default header suggestions

i'm thinking about some headers after christmas.just curious to what headers everyone's using.i would like to get some that i don't have to tighten up everytime i start the car.i may be asking for the holly grail but if all of them leak i'll just use my manifolds.any help would be nice.

i have used TSP's, pacesetters, and hookers. the days of leaking headers are pretty much gone because of the bolt pattern on the ls1. make sure to use the factory style gaskets.

If you want the best quality and fitment, look at ARH/Kooks

If you want the best value, wait for TSP to stock their 1 7/8" stainless. Otherwise you could go with BBK/Pacesetter which are both still very good value for the $

get OBX stainless steel long tubes. I had them on my camaro for a year and they are still good on the car. Don't leak and fitment they hit the bold on the steering shaft so we grinded down the bolt a little and good to go! can't beat the price, and why even think about mild steel? dont pay $400 for something that's gonna rust so quickly..

Pace setter ceramic coated LT's are the best bang for your buck. Make sure you use GM header gaskets. I used my original bolts and gaskets and they worked fine. If money is not an issue, I would go with KOOKS LT's and true duels all the way back. I went with pacesetter and tsp y pipe amazing HP gain and response.

ive had my pacesetters now for over 4 years and never had any issues. If i had the money to blow i would look into ARH or Kooks. But also look into TSP 1 7/8.
