Does anyone know the hp rating on these h-beam rods?
Hey yall I was wanting to know if anyone knew the hp rating of these rods? K1 TECHNOLOGIES CH6125ALLB-LS8S. These seem to be decently price billet h beams. Are there any other companies in this range or better?

K1 doesn't put a hp range on their stuff. Too many other factors to consider like rpm's. I did send them an email asking about the same rods. Told them I'm looking to make 11-1200hp and they told me they would be a good choice.....take that for what it's worth. Sometimes you get what you pay for, but I have heard a lot of good feedback about K1. So I'm gonna buy Callies "I" beams for piece of mind and I know what they will hold.

Imo most "hp" ratings on hard parts are underated when applied to a FI application. Reason being that FI power is spread over more degrees of crank rotation. Ie longer burn time per power stroke. I have had engines na or n2o that have blown and then been able to achieve 20-30% more power when turbocharged with the same combination of parts. Like I said just my opinion. Sure someone will have a contradictory one but I have seen it first hand.
As for your specific question ni am not familiar with those rods but almost and will probably handle more than 90% or us will ever need.

i have a set of these rods going in my 365" ls2. looking to make 1200hp with twin turbos. this is going in a dragster. was going to use the k1 crank as well, but i am thinking of trying it with the stocker. make sure you get the arp 2000 bolts minimum. the first set i ordered, had 8740 bolts. sent them back and got the ones with 2000's.

So your going to use the stock crank for 1200 hp? Do you like throwing away money? I would just wait till you can affortd a good quality crank. Because IMO durability starts with the crank and moves up the chain from there.

thinking and doing are two different things, but show me a stock crank that has failed with a turbo setup. besides, i am only pushing a 1650lbs car down the track. hp is not was kills a crank, it is what is attached to the end of it resisting it from rotating. a 3400lbs car at 1200hp will hurt a crank well before a 1650lbs at 1200hp will. i know it will be harder on bearings, but i will be tearing it down way more often than alot of guys.
back to this thread, the k1 rods are quality pieces, but every one is marked made in china. but then again so are eagles and compstars. alot of guys are running those rods with good results.
