I don't have a camaro yet, but it doesn't hurt to do some research.

I would like to supercharge it eventually, after some other stuff.
1. would a roots style be better or a procharger, if so which one?
2. and what internal engine parts would need to be upgraded?

I was thinking about it, but I want to get the full SLP exhuast, so that kinda messes the turbo up and all, but if theres a way to do turbo with the SLP LTs, and LM1, than I'll look into it.

How come? I've heard the exhaust setup i want, and it sounds amazing to me, I'm not looking for huge performance, but I'm curious as to why you say stay away from them, SLP seems to do some good stuff.

get some kooks or qtp headers... way better...especially the high velocity merge collectors

and i would go supercharge with ATI with an aftermarket (different from them) intercooler.

I would also say procharger with the race intercooler since it's a more proven setup and you could keep your SLP exhaust. As for headers, I would recommend the American Racing LT's

no roots or screw superchargers are currently offered for 4th gen f-cars. that should make your decision a lot easier haha. i would go procharger for sure. don't waste your time with a p1sc. get a D1sc and a 8rib Aster bracket right off the bat. run 7-8psi and upgrade the fuel system. you will be fine with stock engine internals at that power level.

Take a look at the above link where I sell a complete ProCharger D-1SC kit with everything you need except for the spark plugs and tune. The engine in these cars is tucked under the cowl and makes installing a roots style blower more difficult. No current roots style kits are available that I know of, several have been in the past and required spacing the k member down to allow room for the blower. The ProCharger is much more efficient that most of the roots style of blowers anyway.

8 psi from a ProCharger will generally give you an added 140 rwhp, stock engine internals will normally handle this amount of boost without any problems. Bob

i just put a procharger /supercharger on my stock ls1. has long tube american racing headers. my work was done by horsepower solutions. that was their recommedations. I'm sure there's alot of good stuff out there. 450 rwhp on stock ls1. trying to get to around 525 to 550 to wheels. spin the damn tires off it thru 3 gears. need a good set of s/l racing , street tires. good luck. you will enjoy

8 psi of boost with a ProCharger on an LS1 with headers and exhaust will normally get you a 140 rear wheel horsepower increase. It makes for a great night and day difference in horsepower! Bob
