all that means is were the ******** who are going to have to pick up that 6 billion a year tab one way or another. fuel prices will go up because there are laws that ethanol must be used in gasoline and until that goes away that just means the ethanol price is going to go way up. Think our taxes will go down to compensate? lol... were gonna get fucked in the end. again.

Wonder if they will ramp up other ethanol production. Here in the SE there was supposed to be a kudzu ethanol facility going up as well as one that produced ethanol from pine byproducts.

Aren't there tax incentives for the use of bio fuel or does it only apply to new vehicles? I thought I remember reading about a loophole where you can also apply the tax credit toward vehicles that have been converted to run bio fuel.

I didn't read the article but what does that realistically mean for us? I'm building my LS RX-7 for corn solely. I don't really care if E85 ends up being the price of regular gasoline but my fear is that at that price the only people who will by E85 will be enthusiasts and there certainly aren't enough of us to support such a gigantic industry.

IIRC that was if it was done prior to 1 Jan 2009.
