max boost on cobalt 2 bar map sensor?
I know 200kpa / 14.7psi is the rated max boost but does this cobalt 2 bar map sensor usually go a bit higher ?
Like I've heard the stock ls1 map sensor can read like +8psi even though its only suppose to go up to atmospheric pressure

whats the next best option for map sensors that fit in the same hole in the rear of the ls1/ls6 intake mani?
I heard the ls9 3 bar map sensor is a different connector. Does it fit in the hole and is a pig tail available for the ls9?

What GM calls the map sensor on the Cobalt is the old brick style looking sensor, that is the 2.5 bar one and it has a built in intake air temp. Ive never seen anyone try one and Ive been told its not possible. Not sure why.
The Cobalt "baro" sensor is the 2 bar plug and play map sensor.

The Cobalt 2.5 map is the big rectangle sensor. DPE does not use that one. They may use the 2 bar one? Or maybe just a standard 1 bar. You can do it yourself if you search the net long enough. DPE's sensor is the only option I know of for higher boost E38/E40 ecm Vettes and GTO's. Prob why its expensive, Corvette tax.

I have ran ~30lbs on a cobalt sensor. I would have rather had the 3 bar in it but I made it work. The tune was good for up to 14.5lbs, then from there to 30lbs it was the same commanded fuel. The transition in boost from 14-30lbs is fast enough that you wont notice the dip in richness. This was done on E85, gas may have different results.
I now use a 3 bar map is most boost applications.
