what wrong with the patriots? i was considering a set since they seem affordable and should flow well. would be better off with reg 317s?

I would send them to AI. They do awesome work. I have a set of 04 317s that im not going to use. I would let them go for 100 bucks or so. Not trying to hijack, im just trying to help someone out.

If you had the extra cash, tea has ported trick flows for comparable price to tsp ported 317's and they have a thicker deck.

This is what I was thinking as the best and possibly cheapest option. A set of 317's should run no more than $200 or so used, and porting with a rebuild should still be less than a new set from patriot or any other place.

Just curious why you want ported 317s? I got 317s and im aiming for 1000 HP untouched.

Get a set of stock 317's, have them cleaned and do a good 3-angle valve job on them and put them on.

I didnt know Patriot casted 317's?

I had patriot do the machine work on my 317's, no port work but very happy with the work. Will probably have them do all the machine work on my future motor build. Very nice people, & fast turn around.

If you are running boost I don't know if porting your heads helps a ton like it does on a N/A set up, but im by far not a expect, so I could be wrong.

Oh yeah you could take them to Meaux In Abbevile La. but you would have to pay and get on a long list.

i agree id rather have 600 with 10psi than 12 or so. so no go with the patriots then? guess ill use stock 317s till i need thicker deck
