Default C6 z06 vs gtr vs c5z06

My C6 Z has h/c/ex, makes 571 SAE RWHP,

The GTR has down pipes and exhaust, and an E85 tune (at least, he's kinda cagy about his mods).

The C5 Z06 has a vortech @ 10 pounds, methanol, and exhaust, making 635 SAE RWHP.

It was SO CLOSE between my Z and the GTR from 40, and 50 rolls. When I had the cameraman he would pull me by a car or so. When he had the cameraman I would pull him by a car, maybe.

Racing the C5 Z from 40 or 50 rolls he would pull me by a car to 120+.

Oh well, guess it's time for that 100 shot of nitrous I keep talking about.

Should have vids up later. Don't know when, I'm at the mercy of the camera owners.

Sounds like some good races! Does the C5Z have a cam or heads? 635 sounds high for a blower and exhaust. Sounds like he makes the power from the race results.

Good stuff...I thought h/c C6 Z's were easy 135mph cars, surprised the GTR pulled on that from a roll.

GTRs hiding some mods LOL... a 571 rwhp SAE z06 NA is no joke. Probally a lil quicker than a zr1 and 135 mph capable.

Even the 12 GTS only trap 125 tops. and they are 480 awhp. Thats GTRs gotta be plus 600 awhp

You are funny guy, a GT-R with those mods is probably making upper 500's to low 600. Full bolt on GT-R's on E85 are trapping 130-135mph. Hell the fastest stock turbo GT-R traps 139mph with 570whp and weight reduction.

Yeah, the GTR didn't open his hood. LOL

It's fast, no matter what.

here's three of the Z on Z action. On the 30 mph roll the supercharged C5 spun and then couldn't catch me.

Considering I'm NA, running against a supercharged lighter car at 6,000 feet, my car did pretty well.

Some nice runs for sure. Time for a few more mods to take him. Buddies C5 with ls2 h/c procharger on 10lbs boost walked away from me pretty good. He was trapping 137-139 Saturday at the track.

Might be really really close at sea level.

Good runs imagine how it'd pull at sea level, but the c5z I doubt is lighter than you my dads c5z only weighs 20lbs lighter than my c6z so add the weight of the blower etc you are prolly lighter

Here are the races against the GTR. The first two I have the 180 pound passenger, he's alone. The next two he has the passenger, I'm alone.

From the mods I know he has I believe he's at the 570 to 600 hp at the wheels level.

Nice runs. Where did you get your work done if you don't mind me asking? I haven't seen anywhere in town on par with say, Texas Speed. That's where I figured I'd have to go. Gotta think the altitude might be favoring the GTR if you put down those numbers after getting tuned at lower altitude and then came back to NM.

Well, the heads ARE from Texas Speed. The install is local, Scotty's Southwest Corvettes, in Albuquerque, NM. Yes, I believe the altitude does favor turbo cars, but hey... we race where we live.
