Default Supercharged C5 Z06 vs Stock 09 GT-R

It was a misty day, clearing up to become a nice day. Coming back from the Caffeine and Octane event. I tried to get some races with some of the modded GT-Rs and Vettes at the event but no bites. So I drive back minding my own business when all of a sudden a Silver GT-R pulls up beside me. We line up and slow it down to a 40 roll. I honk 3 times and we go. I spin off the hit and the GT-R gets half a car on me. Once I hit 80mph I stop his pull. I shut down at 140 and have him by 6 or so cars. We go again from another 40 and the results are similar. He gives me a thumbs up and we stop at the next exit and talk about our cars. He says his warranty just ended and he is taking his car to Forged performance to get some serious mods. We then go on our merry ways. I look forward to his challenge.

Cliffs:
Supercharged C5 Z06 vs Stock 09 GT-R
Race 1: 40 roll C5 Z wins by 6 cars

The owner was a cool guy. Funny thing is only one of the vettes wanted to play but that guy left early lol. I'm still trying to organize a race between me and a friend of mine with an Alpha 9 GT-R that made 780awhp. I was actually trying to get him to go to this event.

Good kill! Anything done to the Z other than the blower kit? What does it make for power?

It has a forged 402ci LS2, ECS big blower cam, AFR 225 heads, OBX headers, 60# injectors, KB boost a pump, LPE fuel pump etc. The car made 675whp at 9psi on 93. It moves out pretty well.

Lol, couple things other than the blower. That Alpha 9 is gonna be a tough competitor. Think you'll be able to set that up?

Nice! Too bad you didn't get a vid. Sounds like your car runs well. I'd like to see the run between you and the Alpha 9 GT-R.

I take it this is with 93 octane? I think to come close to an Alpha 9 then you will need to be on race gas.

Looks like the Alpha 9 dynos around the same as OP on pump gas.
He should be fine if he shifts well.

And that is AMS' personal Alpha 9 car.

Maybe you missed where he said the Alpha 9 he plans to run makes 780whp. Most likely its on E85 which is still pump gas where I live.

I saw that, but I disregarded it because I was comparing it to the OP's equivalent tuning level, which would be 93 octane.

780whp was on race gas. I made 693 on 93. I think it would be a good race pump gas for pump gas though.

@NOLAG05 My buddy's GT-R was built and tuned at top speed. His car looks like a bone stock GT-R with bone stock rims

That was right in front of Top speed. He got the car dynoed that day on the race gas tune. The night prior it did 10.40 @141 mph on the stock Bridgestone potenzas. If I run him from a dig he will destroy me.
