What would you replace? LS2 15,000 miles?????
Like the title says, what would you replace on a LS2 Longblock.. The motor has 15,000 miles on it. Car will have a 76.or 78 mm turbo on it. Liking to get around 700 at the tire, with a good turbo and tune.. This is what I'm thinking...
1) Blower Cam
2) ARP Rod bolts
3) Maybe a timing chain or oil pump?
4) Super victor Jr ( I already have)
What do u guys recommend? This is my first motor build, and I don't want this thing to come apart... Thanks Andrew

I'd go this far too...plus, setting the ring gap correctly is nice for piece of mind under boost...the stock bottom ends are pretty dam strong, but I'd rather KNOW the ring gap is right if I'm going to push it that hard, with that much potential for heat in the cylinders.

Well...honestly...if you are intending to turbo it...I would not use a blower cam, and I wouldn't worry about rod bolts either. That's an RPM thing, not a power thing...on the combustion stroke the rod bolts are just along from the ride...the hardest moment of their life is when they have to turn the piston around after the exhaust stroke and yank it back down for the intake stroke.
A blower cam and a turbo will not be the ideal combo...I'd leave the stock cam...or go for something with a wider lobe seperation than the typical blower and NA grinds. If you're going to swap the cam, that's when I'd put in a C5-R chain...more expensive than some other options, but they are an excellent chain and you need not worry about them. LS2 should already have a chain dampener.
I've seen a lot of people swap to the Melling high volume pumps with success lately...I've never had a problem with a stock pump myself, plus 15K miles is practically nothing.
......so all that said, if it were mine...and funds were tight...I'd buy the C5-R chain from Katech, new stock timing sprockets from GM, I'd upgrade the valve train...replace the GM head bolts with some ARP parts, and invest everything I had left in fuel system...forced induction can get into a situation of needing a lot of fuel FAST...you want to be POSITIVE your pump/lines/regulator setup is up to par, and you want to know you've got enough injector...that before anything else.

I'm paid $1500 for the long block.. And funds are kinda tight now... Othe wise I would..
You'll be able to run it at that level for a little bit, but it's a ticking time bomb and if it blows up next month it will cost you more to rebuild the engine than it will cost you today to build it up to withstand that kind of power.
It's up to you really, but don't expect that kind of power to be held reliably for the next 50k+ miles.

LS9 cam resized ls2 fuel injectors... new pushrods and springs. running 8 lbs should be pretty reliable and mid 500 to the wheels... arp head bolts if you pull the heads for any reason... very budget friendly and reliable... other than that the block motor should be fine.

I think that it's a 1500.00 dollar 76mm turbo that I think you'll be going about it the wrong way. That's not including am inter cooler, tubing, fuel system etc etc. it's just me man we see it all the time where a guy pushes the envelope on a sbe car and then he's back on asking what happened.
