Default MBA A4 shift **** and boot

I've had this setup for a while, but never took pictures until now.

Someone on LS1.com made the boot to fit A4s a couple of years ago. I believe I paid $25 for it. I think almost any boot would work if you did some trimming though. The one I have is pulled through some tabs under the gear selector mechanism and has double sided tape to hold the sides under the console. It looked nice with the stock t-handle, but I like the MBA **** much better.

Thanks for the compliments.

Any shift boot should work.
Here is how I did it:

What becomes of the button that is on the stock t-handle? Can you just move the shifter from gear to gear without having to press a button in?

I've been considering buying one of their shifter *****, but was curious as to how that worked.....

If its anything like this kit:
http://www.cau-llc.com/shiftknobinstall.html
You push down on the **** instead of pushing in a button.

Did you just order the shift **** with the tail, or is there a special automatic shift **** you need to buy. I really need one so any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

They make the **** specifically for A4s. It's on their website under new products and also under interior trim. http://www.mbaproducts.com/
