Default anyone have a 600 rwhp N/A ls1 street car?

Ive been going back and forth with a turbo, supercharger built car. I've notice a lot of setup with 800-1000rwhp have removed A/C, modified a lot to fit these systems. Im moving to AZ and i need my A/C even tho its gonna be a weekend car but i need it. i think I've decided to build a powerful N/A car with some nitrous to go with it. I really hate to be hacking up my car. Even if you go turbo with truck mani's u gotta remove your A/C. or other systems u gotta hack up something. So a nice 440, 454 LSX setup would be nice. So i wanted to see if anyone here has a that kind of power in a street driven ls1 car? its been 4yrs since i did the last upgrade and its that time for a new setup.

A roots/twin screw supercharger is the most basic way to get boosted and you won't hack up anything in your car.

you can do high hp N/A but it will have to rev high. You can do a procharger and keep everything, it is by far the easiest way to go FI

If you have the cubes you can make 600 rwhp. Supercharger will be easier to make that type of power. I will say NA is more fun and faster.

Not true...

Plenty of stout N/A builds running around and/or soon will be making that kind of power without spinning it to the moon - inside of 7k. Couple 440s, a 447, a 455, a few 454s and at least one 460

wtf?

you wont make a 600rwhp LS1 but you can build a 600rwhp N/A LSx but expect to pay a pretty penny.

it really depends , it takes a pretty wicked setup to beat the power of some turbo/fi setups, i dont know how you could say na is more fun, take a ride in my buddys 700 hp cobra than tell me na is more fun lol, that kind of power in a ls1 na is just not going to happen, you need bigger cubes and that will come at a price, and the price tag on that kind of power is big bucks,https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...tin-close.html check out this build thread , my fav build on tech lsx 454

As they say, No replacement for Displacement.

Check out Pat G's recipe for 500 rwhp

Prolly the cheapest way for Displacement is the GM parts 454 LSX, though you'll add about 100 lbs to the front end. + bigger cubes gives you that *** kicken Torque ! Though boost can do it also...
Though once you get to a certian point, how are you going to get it to hook ?
Mine, @ 560rwhp breaks the tires loose in 1st, 2nd and a lil in 3rd if I really push it ( 315/25/17 ) MT drags. 60 mph in 4th and a lil damp road they break loose n not fun !
I was thinking of putting a 150 shot on it, not. It's scary enough.

In the end, it's all $

I believe you will need more displacement and way better heads than you can bolt on a 383 to make 600 rwhp. 427 or more with ported LS7 style heads would be your best approach. If you want to keep your LS1, it can be wet sleeved by RED or ERL and you will have a great starting point.

For someone who has done it, look up CAMSTER in the Gen IV internal section

383 with 225cc heads and a big cam and fast 102 im will get you very close to that. Stroker motors make good power.

A centrifugal supercharger with a meth kit is the quickest, cheapest, easiest way to that number.

No. 383 stroker will make great torque and a little more horse power. You could see 500whp with a 383 and a good set of heads Fast and large cam and good bolt ons as well

You should see quite a bit more than 500whp with 383ci. I think Tony Mamo made around 550whp with his old 383...which is not uncommon.

I agree you could see more than 500. But Ive also seen a lot less then that. Also thats a Tony Mamo built engine, Its the best of the best of the best combo and parts as well as his own magic he works on the heads and intake.
