Default Anyone using solid engine & frame mounts for their swap?

Before i make any mounts or buy any just wondering if anyone used pure solid mounts? No rubber or poly pads. I have some solid mounts so i can decide what to do?

I'm using solid mounts in my 69 GTO... dirty dingo sliders.
I'll post a pic when I get a chance

Biggest problem is the transmission of vibrations throughout the chassis. Has a tendency to reverberate and drone at certain RPM. I'd go with a poly setup. You can make the plates for the motor, and then use something like this

And then weld that to your frame / k member or whatever.

Solid motor mounts, rubber trans mount. You can expect more noise, vibration, etc. But the 68 corvette convertible has sidepipes, so a little extra noise is no big deal.
