Default 69 Firebird that was in classifieds 1 yr ago

Thought I would show a few pics of the Firebird I picked up on here last year.

May take a minute- trying to post pics...

Still need to align fender and hoping the new trunk seals settle down an let it close all the way

I'm assuming it's a clone, correct? Either way, it's beautiful

Yea- its a clone. Wife would be pissed if I sold the house for a real one.

This car was in the TX classifieds about a tear ago- was in primer, not running and very little interior.

Has been a fun project. It has a nasty sounding 455 in it- it had to have been a track car at some point. Steep gears, drag shocks, lots of pieces missing- and oh yea it was line green at one point.

Luckily the car was completely rust free and the motor and trans worked fine after flushing out the gas and rebuilding the carb.

Thanks for all the nice comments- been a dream car of mine for a long time.

Nice. Post before pics. And get a Firebird plate instead of the Summit one.

I know about the plate- I want one with the 69 bird logo on it. I had the GRRRR plate off my GTO on it but it didnt make much sense. It's harder to find than you would think. I may have to make one out of Trans Am Decals. The car was in Autorama- thus the Summit plate.

Here are before pics:

Not sure if he is on tech anymore or not. I think his screen was gripensomething- not sure. He was really cool about selling it though. I think he lost interest and it was in the way. He also had a clean 67 GTO. He had gotten it off eBay in about the same shape I got it.

Pretty cool man, I never noticed how similar the spoilers on the 69 TAs and 91-92 Z28s were.
