Camaro Mustang Challenge Road Racing Series 3/17-18/12 Ft Worth, TX
The Camaro Mustang Challenge road racing series will be racing at Motorsports Ranch Cresson (south of Ft Worth) on March 17/18. As always, we will be running 4 races over two days. The standard format will include 2 standing start races and 2 inverted grid rolling start races.
We will be racing as part of the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) of Texas sanctioning body. There will be many other classes racing as well from SPEC Miata (40+ cars) to German Touring Car (GTS) as well as Time Trials for those of you interested in tracking your street cars. There is something for every spectator and all levels of enthusiasts.
Most races start around 10am both days.
And here is a link to last season.

Entry is less than $300 per event. Season will run you $5-6K total (travel costs, food, all tires, brake pads, oil changes - everything) to run in the CMC series. A season is 6 weekends w/ 4 races per weekend plus 2 quals and a practice/warm-up.
I figure lots of guys here could put a car together from parts they have laying around.
CMC is a class w/ a 260hp/310tq limit (mostly OEM parts). limits on shock costs, wheels weights, stuff like that. It is a pretty cheep class to run. Just enough HP to get into trouble (tire are a little low on the grip meter by design).
Best think about this class - its pretty hard to be out spent dollar wise w/ the limits we have in place. Ensures no one can buy there way to the front of the field. If you can't drive, you can't win.
Note on the HP/TQ limits. It is RWHP. ANd some LT1 cars need a restrictor plate, and all LS1 cars need a restrictor plate. Motors and drivetrain live a long time at a reduced power levels. My motor was rebuilt before the 2007 season. I've run about 25 or races per season since them (only 6 the last two years). I've run 3 enduro races from 6hrs to 10 hrs. All this on the same motor, trans, and diff.

I see there have been about 140 views. I would love to see you guys organize a GTG at this event. It would be really great to see about 20-30 nice F-bodies from all years to show up and hang out. There will be parade laps at noon each day. It would be a great time to get a free look at the track if you have never been on it. Passengers are allowed as well. I may even be able to set-up some ride’s at speed in some CMC cars and other cars if there is interest in that.

Event is this weekend. Weather looks pretty good for early spring. We race rain or shine. Got about 16 CMC cars and a handful of AI cars so far.
No entry fee for spectators.
