Default Switching up the combo....F1R time!

Ok so I figured I would just make a new thread instead of tagging this onto the end of my old one. I have a new combo plan that will be done in 2 stages. First stage will be heads, F1R and other goodies to keep me going for now. The 2nd will be a new motor combo that I'm in the middle of working out on paper.

1st:

F1R
TFS 235cc heads
LS9 Gaskets
LSXR Intake and matching throttle body
ID2000 Injectors
New Fuel rails
ARH 1&7/8ths Headders to a custom 4" exhaust
Electric Cutout
McLeod Street Twin w/upgraded discs
Built TR6060 Setup for F-Bodys
PST 3.5" Driveshaft
Full Suspension all around (Will need a lot of help and advice on this)
Wastegate and EBoost 2

Since I will be back and forth from being overseas, I want to get my current combo a little better sorted out so I can use the car and have fun. I'll build and install the motor my next go around. The car will be setup for 2 tunes, one on pump gas and methanol (Maybe 17psi) and the other for E-85 and a little more boost. I'm still doing research on my fuel system and suspension but any piece of advice is appreciated. Let me know what you guys think!

I'm trying to figure out which external fuel pump I want to go with. I want it to be able to support enough for my new motor combo on E-85. I don't want to do things twice lol. I also need to contact MadMan and see what they recommend for suspension. I'll be mostly a street car with as much track use as I can get in.

are you building the motor or buying an assembled long block from a vendor?

I'm going to try and assemble it myself time permitting....only problem is work. I'll talk with on of the gurus and get some spec ideas and go from there.

Right now I'm running twin Walbro GS-340 pumps, believe it or not the stock supply line and I'm using the evap line as a return, professional products rails, FIC 96lbers....ghetto I know lol. I don't want to do this twice this time....one fuel setup for good lol.

Do you have any more info on using the evap line as a return? I'm curious as to how that works. Do you have to delete the evap system entirely?

I got rid of the evap system awhile ago as do most people who mod their fuel system. I got a -6 fitting that clipped onto the engine side of the line and took out the regulating valve that sits in the hat assembley. My regulator connects to the evap line, then the evap line connects back up to the hat assemble, dumping back into the tank. Its pretty easy to do and got me over 800rwhp. My supply line isn't going to support any more power though. Its an easy way to limp your stock system along a bit further lol

Bump....It's time to order some parts! I have a couple questions though and hopefully you guys can help like usual.

I need some advice on rocker's for the TFS heads. I'll also need new pushrods due to the increase in deck surface.

I'm also having a hard time finding the right PN for the heads and somewhere to order them from. I want to go with the 6 bolt pattern, 2.080" Intake and 1.600" Exhaust.

Any experiences with the 245's? I'm looking on their website and it shows a minimum of a 4.030" bore so I can squeeze by lol. I just don't want to have to order a new set of heads for the new motor combo in another 6 months or so.

EDIT: New motor combo will be at least a 4.125" bore maybe slightly larger so I know they wont be optimal on the 370 for now. I'm trying to read as much as I can but it seems like the 235's might be my best bet for now and will work well later as well.

Are you going to run the f1r on the 8 rib belt? I was reading that the belt will slip with the r. I want a bigger procharger also and you can find some good deals on the f1r. Maybe try a reichard racing pulley if you are going with the belt. I am very interested in this also.

Better be COG'd. And I was going to say go with the Trunion Rocker Upgrade for Comp, the stock rockers are the lightest one by far. That is good. Also

I'll take pics as soon as I get home and start opening all the boxes lol...I missed out on Christmas....until now! I'll be using the 8rib setup for now with the Aster Bracket and see how it does. She'll also be on E-85. Hopefully it can hold well enough for now but I guess we'll see. With the new motor combo I'll probably switch to a direct drive setup.
