Default Frost tune ?

so im doin some bolts on (full exhaust, no cats, no egr or air etc etc) now if i send my ecu into frost to get tuned what software do they use? hptuners? could i still tune it afterwards with hptuners? i was curious because whenever i bought my own software i would like to be able to take it to a dyno shop to have it tuned. like when i do heads and cam down the road.

Doesn't matter which product he uses. As long as the PCM isn't locked and doesn't have a custom OS, you can open it & tune it with HPT or EFILive.

No to thread jack but I have another question about frost tunes.

I'm getting the bolt on tune to tune out egr air and rear o2s. Would frosts tune improve my mpg over the current mpg I'm getting with no rear o2s hooked up (170/tank)

A quick reply would be appreciated as I'm about to order today or tomorrow.

Yes frost does lock them back up. So you would have to pay for a credit from hp. I dont think pcm4less locks them back up.

This is not how HP or EFI Live credits work. If the PCM is locked, you will not be able to modify period.

I honestly do not like the tuner lock. I never lock PCM's because you never know when a customer moves wants , and has to takes their vehicle somewhere else.

Agreed. Frost does not (at least in my personal experience) lock you out of your PCM.

These where the words that came outta his mouth because i had problems with mine when i got it back. The injector modifier was zeroed out. And he was 110% that it was in my car and not his tune. And when he insisted it was on my end, i told him i was going some where else, and thats what he said,so ya its a stupid post.
But any way he took care of it when he relized it was his or his softwares fault. A friend of mine had him do a mail order from him and it would stall soon as he dropped it in gear, like it was kicking the vats on or something. He ended up getting his money back. Pcm4less got it on the first try.
Mail orders suck. I will never get one again as my car is still pig rich. And its a simple cam only car. I am putting a wideband in it next week just to see how far its off.
Im just stating what i was told by steve

i was reading somewhere that most mail order tunes change parameters for lts since some o2s give a slow being further down in the header. does frost? i kept throwing a slow response code before i swapped out my frost tuned pcm and now nothing. i love it. but is that true about changing slow response parameters?

What does Frost charge? After my head/cam install I'll need a simple tune to get my car over to a tuner

150 for bolt on. 200 for internal mods.
