Cool My New DD

Traded the Bird and picked this up at Carmax. I wasn't in the market for one but it caught my attention and couldn't leave without it. 2008 BMW Twin Turbo 335i, the M6 makes it a blast to drive. They're rated at 300hp fly wheel, but with minor upgrades like a JB4 you can see 340-380 on the dyno. Lets just call this my new sleeper

Daddy doesn't do base models. Fully loaded. 335i is as high as you can go with getting a M3

No iDrive, so not "fully loaded."

Looks like sport package at least though, sport seats, sport steering, and should have a oil cooler.

i had an 05 z4 for a couple years & it was nice, but i got tired of having to shell out $500+ every time something went wrong.

Yeah sorry bud not trying to burst your bubble or be rude but BMWs have a gazzilion options. From different leather/Pleather, heated seats, idrive, hids, keyless start, idrive, garage opener etc.

^^

My wife has an 07 with the idrive, and most options...the 335 is a great car. The 7Logic sound system is pretty damn good especially as it comes stock on all 335's. Enjoy that thing, just hope you dont get the High Pressure Fuel Pump issue even though its covered under warranty, its annoying and makes the car seem like a POS out in public if it has it.

My boss has one of those with the Dinan programming... it pushes 400hp and is quite fun to drive, especially with the new Pilot Super Sports he put on it 3 weeks ago

Full loaded is in the eye of the beholder. Especially when it comes to a car with lots of options and combinations.

Thinking I may go Dinan. Their programming allows you to keep the factory warranty. Although I have to call Carmax and verify the same with them. In that case it's worth the 2k

My boss bought the car from another guy that works here. He (guy that my boss got the car from) got the Dinan programming specifically because it would not affect the factory warranty. Matter of fact, the car just had all 6 injectors replaced under warranty with no hiccups due to the Dinan program.

335i's are nice. Just make sure the fuel pump issue has been taken care of. 2007 was the definite problem year but 08s are also susceptible to the issue. Even some late 08s have had the issue.

Other than that, it should be a reliable ride.

Nice car, if I would've known more about them at the time I bought my wife a car she would probably be driving one. What kind of mileage do they knock down modded?
