Default Trans Am Fog Lights

My stock ones are foggy for some reason and don't match. It drives me crazy. Should I try to find some used stockers or go aftermarket? What are some good budget friendly aftermarkets?

Ok, I found the lighting FAQ but most links are extremely old and don't work.

Also found these: http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=132

Hella 90mm fog lights.

And the writeup: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...ll-w-pics.html

Why is this guy messing with relays, etc? Can't they just hook up to the factory harness?

I went aftermarket on my GP. I'd imagine the same ones I have would fit your T/A just fine since im 99% sure it's the exact same fog and bracket. All I had to do to mounts the aftermarket was drill two holes in the stock bracket. They EASILY overpower the stock headlights with Philips X-treme bulbs. The fogs have the no name brand halogens that comes in the kit.

Here's what I have. I never bothered hooking the halos up. I got them for the light output.

Post a pic of your stock bracket/housing and I can tell you if they mount up the same or not.

I'll get you a couple pix later. PB is blocked at school.

The stock fog light bulbs are 25watt. Those Hella 90mm H9 projectors are 65 watt. The relay harness is so that the bulbs are provided the power they need without burning up the stock wiring.

Hmm... Well I don't need fog lights that overpower my headlights. I think cars look stupid like that.

Dumb question but the stock fog lenses are plastic right? I might just polish mine to get rid of the haze and be done with it.

The stock 1998-2002 Firebird/Formula/Trans Am fog lights are plastic.

I polished the ones on my '98... they were incredibly foggy/rock chipped. Hit them with the Mother's Headlight Restoration kit that I'd just used on my WJ's headlights and they cleaned right up. Looked as good as new sans a few micro dip's in the plastic that didn't sand out fully.
