Iron block for LS3 build?
I got a really good deal on a new LY6 block. I also have all the internals of an LS3 along with heads and intake. Can I bore the block the .060 over and use is to build an iron LS3?

Probably not the answer your looking for, but. If it were me I would bring the block to a machine shop and have them check the cylinder wall thickness and let them answer that question. Sorry for the generic answer, but IMHO, it would be the safest way to go. Eric L

Yes sir, the ly6 block will easily go .060 over with no problems.

The LS3/L92 pistons are .065 bore and will usually work on the LQ4/LQ9/LY6 blocks. Just need the block sonic checked at a machine shop is what i've been told.
