Default where to mount 2 step?

I just got my MSD 2 step and I'm going to install it today and I was just wondering where everybody mounted the box?

I've seen it installed on either shock tower. If you're grabbing the clutch signal from the PCM mount it on the passenger side. If you've wiring it to the clutch switch itself mount on drivers side and drill a hole in the firewall to run the wire inside to the clutch switch.

I didn't know I could run it off one of the pcm wires. What would be the difference other than having to go inside the cabin or not?

None that I'm aware of. I have yet to install mine. I am going to install it when the car gets out of storage in the spring. But in anticipation of the install, I've been researching it. Search for "Pin 32" or "Clutch pedal position" signal and you'll get some info. I'm leaning towards going right off the clutch pedel, but if either works the PCM is obviously the easier way while you're right under the hood.

I got it installed today. I tried running it off the bottom switch and top and ended up getting it activating all the time. Whether the clutch was up or down. I ended up running it off pin 32. Blue plug in and it was a grey wire. Plugged the wire in on the 12v wire on the 2 step and it worked like a charm. I also found out how to start the car with a test light lol. I was checking for a grounded wire on the switch so I ran the power wire for the test light off the radio fuse and unplugged the bottom clutch switch and hooked it into I believe the green wire and the car tried to start lol. Scared the crap out of me. Thanks for the help.

So you just hooked the 12 volt white/blue wire on the two step to Pin 32 and just left the solid blue one hanging right?
