Default forged rods with surface rust? PIC HEAVY

i picked up a set of used forged lingenfelter rods about 3 years ago and never used them just unpacked them and checked them out and packed them back up and set them in the shop

well i went another way and have no use for the rods and i was going to sell them but after looking at them i am not sure if its a good idea for them to be used

5 out of the 8 look nice but the other three have a good bit of surface rust

is there anything i can do?? i certainly do not want to sell someone something that will be defective but i do not want them to just go to waste

are they even worth anything in this condition?

Keep these pics, clean them up with a light wire wheel and rub them down with oil. Put a price on them and state just what you did and both parties should be happy....I'd clean them up end run them in s motor as long as there isn't pitting in the wrist pin hole, or the big end hole.

I would use them as long as there isn't any pitting, light surface corrosion only should be ok.

A rag and WD-40 should clean that right up.

I agree, its only been 1 work week. If you did indeed send by snail mail, USPS is slow!

Also he has been a member since 2004 ( I don't see him screwing you) in additon hasnt logged in since the 18th. Maybe he lost internet or had a family emergency...Give it a little more time.
