Best wiring covering for the buck?

Best wiring covering for the buck?
I'm replacing my factory chassis wiring (71 Cutlass) as well as have my LSx engine harness that I need to cover the wiring. Is there a consensus wiring covering I should get? Anybody have ballpark estimates on how many feet of each size wiring covering I should get from your own wiring experience?
Anybody w/experience w/this ebay seller's product?

Also, another post recommended McMaster Carr; anybody use this stuff?

Thx for your inputs.

I've been wanting a kind of thick mesh weave that I saw somewhere. Some place sells it and a half-funnel looking tool to make putting it on easier but I can't remember where that was. Wasn't cheap but it looked cool.
Curious to know what happens if you were to cut that ebay stuff down the side, as if you were trying to wrap wires already in place. Edit- never mind, looks like he sells tons of different kinds, some already split.

The woven stuff looks really good, but I haven't figured out how you would put it on a already assembled harness. I guess remove the terminals from the connector and slide it on. That would look really good until you started getting terminals mixed up in the connectors and needed 4 wires to break out here, and 2 to break out there. As much as I dislike convoluted tubing, stuff is pretty handy.

If you get the convoluted tubing make sure it is the nylon stuff. That seems to age better than the cheaper plastic stuff you get in the chain stores.
I use the split loom polyester stuff

You can get it at Jegs and Summit Racing too.

We use this stuff on military products. The split loom allows you to simply wrap it around and existing wire bundle and makes adding or removing wiring a snap. I use Velcro wire wraps (from the Home Depot) rather than zip ties. Look a little more inconspicuous to me and again makes it super easy to access the wire bundle.

Painless powerbraid is the black braided stuff I used. It looks really nice. Summit sells the same stuff under the store brand for quite a bit cheaper. It installs just like the corrugated stuff, it has a slit going down the whole length. Comes in multiple sizes also

I bought a bunch of the Tech Flex from the Ebay seller the OP mentioned. The loom is really easy to work with, just make sure you cut it with something hot like a soldering iron.
I bought enough to do the engine harness and all the other harnesses under the hood.
20' of 1/8" - Didn't use any of this size. It's literally only large enough to fit a single wire. Don't bother.
20' of 1/4" - I used all but about a foot.
20' of 1/2" - I have about 5' left
20' of 3/4" - I have about 10' left
10' of 1" - I only used about 2' toward the back of the harness where it gets real thick.
HERE'S a shot of it installed.

So this split braided loom here - will it withstand underhood temps, washing, and such? The factory loom seems pretty resilient, but I do love the look of the braided loom. Just don't want to have problems down the road.
