LM7 intake swap
Want intake can i install on my LM7 engine. The truck one has alot of holes that i think need to be sealed if not using Emissions. I also would like some help with what to do with this hole if im going to use the factory exhaust manifolds.

Well are you wanting to go to a car intake?
Depends on what your goals are. You can run an ls6 intake. Get rid of all the emmissions. (Close the coolant xover through the throttle body).
However you'll have to swap over fuel rails, injectors, change wiring clips, change your wp for the car style where the outlet goes out through the front opposed to through the top, then change your radiator hose. I just luckily found a friend who is going carb and got all that for a good price and it was easy. But if you have to peice it together it makes you think twice if it's worth it because the truck intake flows pretty well.

well i had some pics to post because im not sure how to block of these holes. I want to say one is the EGR value which i know i will not be using. i know they sell a plug for that now. the other is on the top of the intake were the vortec over goes one. also i had three fuel lines. one for pressure, one for return and the other when up to the top of the intake in a value what is that used for and do i need it...

3 fuel lines? I'd assume the third one is either the vacuum supply to the pressure regulator or the EVAP hose. You need the vacuum line if you keep a return-style rail. EVAP monitoring can be removed from the PCM.

Look at the thread for "Smoothed Truck Intakes". There are a lot of good ideas there. I have started smoothing my extra truck intake. I think I'm gonna cut all the bungs off and fiberglass the top of the intake like others in the thread.

That is the purge solenoid. Don't need it. I haven't quite figured out how to block it off yet. As for the oil pan, I bought my CTS-V LSA oil pan off Ebay for $190+ shipping and it came with dipstick, windage and gasket. No bolts though. I reused the truck pan bolts although the CTS-V pan didn't use one on the passenger side.

I haven't yet. Although I did find the a 12mm bolt fits in the hole nicely. I think I'm gonna drop a short bolt on the hole and then fill the entire cavity there with fiberglass filler and sand it smooth. I just haven't got that far yet. Been busy and haven't made anyfurther progress since the pics.
