Default Rod Bearing Needed

I'm in the process of checking the rod & main clearances, after replacing the crank. The lobe on #7 of the original crank was trashed, as well as other damage after zero oil pressure.
All of the main clearances are perfect, checking with plastigage.
All of the rod clearances are in a good range (.0018ish>.0025)
The problem is the #7 rod. It shows a good deal less than .001.
Can I replace the bearing on #7 with one that will provide me an additional 001?
Are these referred to as oversized, or undersized?
Does anyone know where I can purchase just one rod bearing?

I've just solved the issue.
I called the people who I ordered the orig bearing set from, and ordered 1 'X'-sized bearing for #7.
The orig #7 bearing (in)-tolerance, I believe caused the oil pressure issue.

glad you got it resolved. I was in the same boat and ordered undersized bearings (for increased clearance) from TSP, $9 each + UPS shipping.

Three steps forward, and four backward!
I'm staring at the new #7 bearing, removed from the rod cap side.
The two ends of the rod cap bearing have wear marks already. The other half of the same bearing (in the rod end) has no wear mark.
The engine has only been turned manually about 10 times to verify easy movement after tightening the bearings.
I'm hoping that the very tight tolerance on #7 is responsible for the wear marks, and am not looking forward to re-removing the crank, so that #7 can be machined.
All of this work is being done without removing the heads.

Your going to have to get that rod out of there and get it re sized, or replace it.

The issue was a bit tough to capture, between the sunlight & the camera angle...
I re-did the plastigage measurement at different locs within the bearing. All measurements show much less than .001!
The crank is perfectly straight, and the journals are all verified round.
Here is #7 rod cap end. There is scuff at the bottom/well. The scuffs I prev identified at either end were not as visible in the pic, and were hard to capture.



Here is the rod side...scuff in the well, only.



Oddly, where the two bearing halfs mate up when seated within the rod, it is perfectly smooth.
The UPS lady just arrived as we speak, and delivered a brand new set of bearings, as well as the one over-sized bearing for #7.
I'm going to use the extra set to play a bit, and see if I can reproduce the 'issue'.
