i need to know if this cam will work with my 5.3 its a stock short block with a 72mm turbo..
i have this cam its a. intake XFI 236 exhaust XFI 242 615/612 on a 114LSA +2 degrees advanced i need to know if i will run into pistion to valve clerance problems.
i know it might not be the best cam for my set up but its what i have and im not looing to make crazy power its just a street better on about 13 to 15PSI let me know what you think thanks

You may have piston to valve clearance problems but that's not the main issue that cam doesn't look very suited for FI if I were you I'd sell it for 275 in the classifieds buy an ls6 cam and run it. You'll make money on the deal and I think you'd be much happier with it. Better drive ability and the turbo will react a lot better

Haha after rereading that it sounds kinda dumb PTV clearance is a big deal what I meant was that's not the issue you should be worrying about at the moment. You should be worried about getting a cam better suited for a FI 5.3

For what it's worth, I am using a cam very similar. Its a MS3 cam 237/241 .603/.609 with a 113 lsa. It works very well in my 5.3 with twin GT35 turbos. I have tried several "turbo" grinds but always come back to this one . It just makes more power, period! Mine has excellent drive ability. If you already have it, I would try it. Make sure to upgrade your valve springs.
You will need a converter that will flash in the 4000 rpm range. I had a tight 3200 rpm converter before and turbo lag was ridiculous.
