Default 275/40/17 on 17x10 all around

I found a guy selling that setup on c5z replicas locally for $450 with 85% tread left. Will that look strange up front? Any disadvantages of a wide front tire and wheel?

Both cars in my sig run 275/40/17 on 17x9's at all 4 corners. They came from the factory like that... Doesn't look strange, and the only disadvantage I can see is more "pulling" from ruts in the road.

They have nexen tires so I would assume he got from OE wheels. He actually just txt me and said they may be 17x9.5, which sounds about right. They're 5 years old and chrome. No dents, flaking, or visible scratches unless very close. $450 a good price if the tires are in as good condition as he says? I realize the nexen tires are cheap, but are they ok for highway driving and a few stoplight races? Those tires will never make it to the track.

450 for some clean chrome wheels with good tires isnt a bad deal,if ya look at them and like them offer 400, its hard to sell wheels local, just because your waiting for the right person. No one wants to ship wheels because its a pita lol,

Nexen tires will be just fine for driving around. I wouldn't worry.

Good. Hopefully they will grip better than riken raptors. I tried a few launches between 2k-3k the other night and couldn't hook until 3rd gear. I probably should have went a little lighter on the throttle, but I could always hook in 2nd on my old car with better tires under the same launch conditions.

Hmmm, I understand they are a good price but if you aren't 100% "into them", they I'd save the 450 and use it towards something else. I quickly got tired of my Torq Thrust M's, and I jus' put on some new 18" DD C5's - now I want some Forgestars!!

I'm totally into them. I was torn between chrome c5z and black c5z. If I ever get tired of the chrome, I'll get them powdercoated for $50 a wheel

Most tire companies provide a recommended rim width. Most that I have seen say a 275 tire is good on 9-11 inch wide rims.
