I have a 98 stock ECM that I tuned with EFILive when it was a nitrous car. Now I'm going turbo and need to tune it for 10-14lbs boost.

Am I going to have problems with my 98 ECM? If so, then I will probably just buy the Holley EFI HP setup and be done with it.

Looks like its going to be a pain in the a** with the 98 ECM. I don't wanna swap out to a newer one and then have to buy the licenses etc for EFI Live.

So looks like I will go the holley EFI HP route

You can flash your 98 PCM with a 2 bar custom OS with HP Tuners.....would be cheaper than changing to a custom PCM.

I thought about flashing it with HP Tuners, but I already own EFI Live and dont wanna buy HPT also.

EFI Live doesn't have a custom OS for 1998 PCM's.

Yeah thats whats got me in this situation. EFI Live not having a good turbo OS for the 98

So I swapped my 98 pcm with a 01-02 PCM and repined my 98 harness to accept it. So I need efi license and a 3 bar hp tuner license? What order?

Either a hacked MAF tune or 99-02 PCM.

you shouldnt need an EFI live license AND an HP tuners license. If you swapped to a 99+ you can get a custom OS with either HP Tuners or EFI Live.

So its almost $1500 for the Holley EFI HP and harness.

PCM is about $150... so may now look at doing a PCM swap depending on how long it takes. Lots of info on this so I'm reading up now.

its easy i did it, just label all your wires and follow the shematics of the 01-02 fbody and plug them in that order.. labeling is what took most of the time.

Oh and ofcourse you need to buy a 99+ pcm.

took me about 2 days "4-5" hours to repin from my 98 harness to accept a 99.

Pull 1 wire out and label where its going on the new pcm

How well did it work out once you got it running?
