I'm doing a v6 to v8 swap.
So my question is if I can use the 3.8l v6 driveshaft with v8 drivetrain?

You can use it but your better off upgrading it all now while you have it out. The rearend would be the only thing to reuse since they are the same 10 bolt rearend and I'm changing mine to an 8.8 when I get my hands on one

^ Thanks for confirmation.
If the v6 can work, which is made out of steel .
Wouldn't that be upgrade since lot of high hp car owners end up swapping form aluminum DS to a steel one anyway?

They go to a much stronger chromoly. Better balancing and larger u joints. Stock is fine but when you make any power and bow your driveshaft and destroy your tail housing you'll see why people upgrade the driveshaft.

V6 driveshafts are 2 piece,V8 driveshafts are 1 piece.
