Talking New PB 1/4 CC503

Best run I've had so far. I think I can get a few tenths faster if I had a couple more run and played with the shift points and stall more. Only got two runs the whole night because everyone kept crashing and blowing their stuff up and it took forever for the officials to clean everything up. Car has everything in my sig with stock heads. Hoosier Drag Radials were 255/50-16 on stock salad shooters. What do you guys think?

R/T .526
60' 1.678
330 5.127
1/8 8.037
MPH 84.15
1000 10.544
1/4 12.622
MPH 108.81

What track? Do you know what the DA was? Seems slow for the mods and gearing. More stall and a set of drag wheels would do wonders. I feel that that car should be around 12.2-12.3 at least.

Dew Point 55
Grains 63.6

I feel like I could have gotten better time as well. It's too bad I didn't get more runs in

you have a 3.90 gear, LT's, cutout, 1.6rr, etc i think your trap should be higher...but you are hooking up well with those Eibach springs so your doing something right...lol

Trap speed seems down a little bit considering the DA was -95, but it's not horrible.

Congrats on the new PB!

Was the car dyno tuned? You may be leaving some power on the table with a mail order tune.

Yeah I didn't think I was going to be able to cut a 1.6 60' with eibach pro-kit spring. But I guess the lower control arm relocation brackets really works like it says haha

Thanks it feels good to be in the 12s finally lol At least now I know I should be able to get low 12s. All it has is a mail order tune. No dyno tune

Anyone have any idea why I didn't trap higher?

The stall and wheels must be holding it back. My old hotcam/mail order tune setup would've went elevens at 3500lbs in that DA. What are you shifting at?

Congrats on the new PB. Im not down talking your times btw just trying to help you get the most out of it.

On the trap speed I feel that its in rotational mass with the wheels, and the 3.90 gear. I feel that the 3.73 keeps it in the power range longer which pulls harder up top (more mph) I feel sometimes gear isnt always the answer.

I would think it'd trap a lil more and et a lil less also. I have basically the same mods with a few extras. And went 12.03 at almost 112 and my car still weighs over 3500lbs. Keep working on it though and you should be able to get those times down some more.

Right not it's set to shift a 6100 rpm. I'm thinking of bumping it to 6300. Not sure how many of you guys use tunercat but I was just think and realized I had the car programmed for 275/35-18 wheels & tires but when I went to the track I had 255/50-16. Can the different wheel & tire sizes affect my shift points or anything else in anyway?

Once again thanks for all the support I really appreciate it.

Line Pressure is dictated by gear and TPS %. The TCC is dictated by MPH.

I think, looking at the TunerCat tables. I haven't done an automatic.

Actually I take back what I said earlier. I changed the car to shift at 6300 rpm. But I never changed the normal mode up/down shift points. They're programed for 6100 rpm and that was done by madz28. Could that be the problem? I'm still new to the whole self tuning thing. I'm using tunercat.

One more thing those of you who have the same cam and a stall, how exactly did you guys launch the car? Did you set the stall or just take off from idle?

I always get best 60 ft launching it just off idle. Keep picking away at it you'll get there. Do some data logging and see how it's running down the track.

Some converters like to have a slight load on them and others just like to be flashed(stomp from an idle)......
Depending on your DA and track conditions your times are in the ballpark. Learning how that converter likes to be worked will of course give you a better 60'..... My buddy has that cam,vig 3600,3.42s etc. Ran 12.77@104 DA was 3800'

From looking at the tables, Normal Mode Up/Down is dictated by Mph not RPM. The only RPM thing I've seen is Kickdown Normal Mode Shift RPM which I would guess is what it the normal foot down shift point.
