Street Racing & Kill Stories - ls1 vs ls2

Okay guys so went to a big car cruise here and was just cruisin threw and out of nowheres a gto cam beside me kept wanting to race so we kicked it at 35 well a car pulled out in front of me so we went again side by side i hit rev limiter trying to watch for traffic so we went again 30 kick i started to pull we run to 135 i was about car and half on him when we let off we pulled over to talk it was a ls2 m6 with exhaust im a 2000 z28 m6 free mods and exhaust i had 3 other people with me he just had 1 with him and he knew how to drive so do i so my ? is how did i beat him i was expecting to loose and my buddy told me i was going to loose bad so how did it turn out like this:confused:

I would guess acid. I have a feeling his comma and period key turned into gremlins so he didn't want to touch them for fear of getting bitten.

God damn my head hurts after reading that.... An ls2 gto and an ls1 f-body should be a close race. You want to beat him? Take the 3 people out of your car and you should make up for the car length and than some.

I beg to differ on that. I think an LS2 M6 GTO is a good bit faster than an LS1 Fbody if both mostly stock.

In my experience, stock for stock the LS2 GTO is slightly faster than a LS1 Camaro. This is going off numerious races I had with a friend of mine when I had a catback/lid and he had a catback.
