Frozen Front Calipers Need Replacement
I have an 08 Grand Prix Gxp I went in to get my rotors and pads replaced and found that my calipers are frozen I looked everywhere to find an affordable price for the calipers and Im having problems finding the correct calipers. Anyone know of a site where they arent charging an arm and a leg for the calipers?

If I were you, and needed new calipers I'd get the Camaro Brembos since they fit with the GXP wheels. centric "120" rotors are $75 each and centric "105" pads are $45 and stainless brake lines are $70.
If not the C5/98-02 f body calipers will be easier to find used or new and work with your current caliper brackets and rotors/pads while adding negligable performance from a smaller piston size

no where specific just search the web and find some take offs from a wrecked car so you can get the matching pair for a good deal. do't run a gxp on 1 side and a C5 on the other. The caliper inquestion came on all C5's, all 98-02 f bodies, and non grandsport Z06 ZR1 C6's.

They basically bolt on, I'm planning on doing a write up when I get more free time. But heres the instructions I used http://www.grandprixforums.net/offic...kes-46217.html
All you need is a few washers

when you say the calipers are frozen do you mean the slide pins?? most of them are after a season of driving in the winter.....you should be able to get them out. it may take some effort but they will come out. When replacing with mew pads make sure to greese the **** out of the slide pins before putting everything back together.

I did the GXP upgrade on my SS last month. I used car-part.com for the front calipers. They were 100 shiped to my door. I bought the rebuild kits from theautopartsshop.com part# 143.66014. you will need 2 they are cheap, less than 20 to your door. The rears I got for 50 shipped didn't need a rebuild.
