Default Am I that bad?

Finally got a chance to take my new car to the track to see what it could do and I am greatly disappointed. I don't know if im more pissed at myself or my car!
Fastest pass was a 14.75@96 mph with a 2.4 60ft time. Weak I know but I still thought it would have been faster. The car in question is a bone stock 99 trans am with 170k on the clock. It had a misfire that I thought I cleared up but seems that I'm wrong. I think there is a stumble at the top end but there isn't a check engine light so I just dont know. I managed to get a 2.2 but still a 14.8 time. Not sure if I am really that bad of a driver or if the car is really that weak on power.

Open to suggestions!!
Thanks

UPDATE:
Fixed the up top misfire. Still counting misfires at idle but it runs much much better. Installed a Granatelli lid that fit like **** and a Hooker cat-back which fit perfectly and sounds great. Took it to the track this morning and managed some 13.7 @104 mph so its much quicker than it was. Cut a second off my previous time and about 8 mph. I'm happy with that. New problem arose at the track. The clutch would only release to half way up unless i physically pulled it up with my foot causing some major slippage and hard engagement into gear. Next on the list of mods is the drill mod for the master cylinder, throttle body bypass and the FRA(free ram air) mods. Free ones til i get the headers and ORY. Thanks LS1TECH.

Well you are severely down on power unless the car is a manual and you really are just shifting insanely slow.

With 170k miles on the car and misfire up top make sure everything is good: plugs, wires are obvious, but it could also be bent pushrods or weak valvesprings.

Update
Replaced all plugs and wires. Wires where shitty and plugs looked old. Still misfired on number 6. Replaced the coil. Still misfiring. Did a compression check on six only because of lack of time 120psi. Not the best but within spec. I'm thinking something in the valvetrain. Hopefully something easy to fix since I don't have a garage at its reaching 100 daily. I'm going to pull the valve cover tonight. If its a pushrod I'll slap another in. If its something more then it's time for big heads and cam
I'm doing a budget build basically replacing parts as they go and doing the cheap stuff first so heads and cams were going to be done later. Guess it gives me an excuse to build it faster!

Shifting wasn't a problem launch was solid most runs were very consistant just think I was way down on power... Like a whole cylinder lOl

Another update.
pulled the valve cover. nothing out of the ordinary just from looking at it. push rods straight, rocker arms still there, no broke valve springs. surpisingly clean for the mileage.
Decided to swap some fuel injectors around and move some coils around to see if the misfire followed. coil for number 2 had lots of oil, i imagine since its right by the oil fill cap, in the connector. I cleaned it up and moved that coil. I dont feel the misifire like it was but the true test will be tomorrow when i hook up the tech 2 and watch the misfire counts. Thanks!

#6 still counting misfires. Engine light went out. Feels much stronger but that could just be me being hopeful. Maybe time to take it back to the track. The upper rpm range miss is gone but still counting at low rpms...

Seems like your going the right direction. 104 traps is a big improvement over your 98. With your mi's I'd make sure all the maintenance stuff are in check. Filters, fluids, brakes calipers not draging. Your in arizona so I really cant see that great of air for best times for you. I think once you get that clutch pedal sorted out and maybe some fresh valves springs you'll be good to go.

Track conditions were kind of weird. It was a test and tune but the main event was junior drags so prep was ****. Wasn't too hot and the da here is something like 1500-1600. If I tried launching harder it would just light up the tires. All the maintnace is good to go. Tryig to find some cheap long tubes and rims. Thanks guys.
