Question Painting interior parts

I was just wondering what prep work is needed to paint some parts on my interior. Like what do I need to do to get the armor all off and to smooth the parts out. Also what paint do I need to use and do I need to put anything on to make the paint bond to the plastic. What will I need to do to keep it from chipping off.

Thanks

sand them with 600 grit first, then go to 800 grit, wipe it all down with a wet cloth, let dry, use a primer thats made for stuff like this, then do 5 or 6 light coats of the color u want, again, using a good paint, then if u want it to shine a little more, and have an extra protectant, clear coat it 2 or 3 times...thats how i did mine, been that way for about 5 months, no chips and no fading

Krylon has a paint line called "Fusion" that is meant for plastics. I have no experience with is though.

Here is a link I found in a search:

I would say that your best bet would be remove the parts and take them to a shop in your area to have them done, cause by the time you buy the "right" materials to do it yourself and end up with questionable results(longetivity wise)you could have paid to have them done

Ok one last question, What color should I paint my parts?

Ive thought about red to match the car or just going with a dark gray almost black color
